Ansoo studied Physics and Mathematics as her graduation subjects and holds a Masters in Business.  She feels that her travels taught her more about life, people and planet than her institutional studies.  J

As her passion project, She founded OneShoe Trust and has been conducting workshops and travel talks for last seven years all over India with her mission of arming as many people as possible with information and inspiration about exploring the whole world in a more environmentally friendly way.

Ansoo had a family farm while growing up and her father used to make her and her brother work at the farm every Sunday plucking vegetables, tilling the soil, mixing the manure etc. Like any other teenager they used to hate the farming chores then. But once Ansoo moved to Mumbai and realised that open, sunny spaces were actually a luxury of life, she started yearning to dirty her hands with sweet smelling fertile soil and start growing vegetables and herbs on a windowsill of her Mumbai apartment.  Over the years, she successfully grew thai basil, Italian basil, mint, rosemary, curry patta, Cuban oregano, brinjals, tomatoes, okra, papaya, Brazilian spinach, methi, palak, pineapple, bitter gourd and many other veggies in very less space and even lesser time available for gardening.  She also makes compost at home with vegetable peels. She shares her knowledge through both online and offline workshops and also through her kitchen gardening articles at houzz.in.

She hasn’t found another activity that nurtures both the soul and the body as kitchen gardening does.
